Fierce rivals are both said to be interested in Portugal attacker.
Manchester United are set to go head to head with arch-rivals Liverpool at the end of the season in order to land up-and-coming Sporting Lisbon front man Bruma, says the Daily Mirror.
The 18-year-old, who can operate either on the left wing or in attack, has been earning rave reviews in Portugal after having broken into the Lisbon giants’ first team last year.
And, despite having made just the eight appearances for Sporting in that time, and finding the back of the net on only the one occasion, it is understood that both Premier League giants are believed to be keen to bring the player to England this summer.
Bruma has a deal in the Portuguese capital that runs only until next May, and with the player now unlikely to put pen to paper on a new contract with Sporting in light of this reported interest from United and Liverpool, it is expected that the forward would not fetch much more than £5 million on the open market this summer.
