Falcao will captain Colombia in Chile this month and wants his move the Stamford Bridge sorted as soon as possible, according to The Telegraph.
Monaco are reportedly demanding a £5m loan fee for the 29-year-old, and it’s believed the player is willing to take a mega pay-cut from his current £265k-a-week deal to join the Premier League champions.
The Colombian struggled in England during his one-year loan stint with Manchester United last season, scoring just four goals in 29 appearances for the Red Devils.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is looking to bolster his attack following the departure of Didier Drogba, and fit and firing Falcao could help the Blues both retain the Premier League title and fight for a second Champions League title.
Mourinho will be hoping Falcao will find the sort of form that made him one of Europe’s most feared strikers during his time at FC Porto and Atletico Madrid, however he would likely play second fiddle to both Diego Costa and Loic Remy, both of whom enjoyed strong seasons as Chelsea claimed its fourth Premier League crown.
