Jose Mourinho has earned the ire of Manchester United after reportedly allowing his players four days off in the lead-up to Chelsea’s clash with Liverpool this weekend.

According to The Telegraph, Mourinho gave his players Monday and Tuesday off following the Blues’ 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last Sunday, but the Portuguese manager has taken the unusual step of allowing his players the option of having free days on Wednesday and Thursday.
It means Mourinho has just two full days to prepare his side for it clash against the Champions League-chasing Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The fight for the final Champions League spot looks now to be a battle between Manchester United and Liverpool, and Mourinho’s actions will not have gone down well at Old Trafford.
Liverpool sit four points behind Louis van Gaal’s side with three games remaining and have every chance of chasing down its much-hated rivals.
Mourinho is sure to defend his decision to give his players four days off by saying they needed a rest after a high-pressure season that saw his side win both the Premier League and Capital One Cup.
United travel away to Crystal Palace this weekend, before facing a tough assignment at home against Arsenal on May 18.
The Red Devils end their season away to relegation-threatened Hull City.
