The Southampton right-back is reportedly on the verge of being brought over to Man United for £18m. Clyne is also being pursued by Chelsea.
Him signing with the Red Devils appears to be a done deal, and he is eager to leave Southampton.
Southampton had offered Clyne a contract extension, and his contract with them has one year remaining.
He is eager to play in the Champions League for a top-four team though, which explains his imminent departure.
Man United previously signed a Southampton defender in Luke Shaw, who is emerging as one of the world’s best left backs.
The Red Devils have meant business in their efforts to get back on top, as they have already signed Dutch forward Memphis Depay after he nearly went to Paris Saint-Germain.
