Arsenal could yet sign the centre forward they crave with Manchester United striker keen to move to Emirates Stadium ahead of joining Spurs.
Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck is keen to join Arsenal in the closing hours of the summer transfer window, according to the London Evening Standard.
The England forward has been heavily linked with Tottenham Hotspur for the last week or so, given that he is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford in the advent of the blockbuster acquisition of AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, but would prefer to move to Emirates Stadium over White Hart Lane.
Welbeck trained with the Three Lions at the Gunners’ Colney complex today, and has since returned to await further developments in a potential deal.
