According to the Birmingham Mail, Lambert is well aware that Delph holds all the cards as he nears the end of his contract, and wouldn’t rule out the player leaving on a cut-price deal this January.
Arsenal and Liverpool have been strongly linked with the 25-year-old before, with both clubs in need of improvements in the middle of the park this winter.
Delph looks a potentially top class signing for either side, having impressed greatly in the Premier League and for England in recent times.
