Manchester City are the latest club to be linked with an audacious move for AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, according to the Express, with the Colombian now having seemingly been linked with all of the top Premier League teams.
Falcao missed much of last season with the Ligue 1 side through serious injury, whilst he was also ruled out of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but he is expected to be fit for the majority of the 2014/15 season.
Chelsea had been heavily linked with a move for the former Atletico Madrid star, who may leave his French club this summer after reportedly becoming unsettled with life in Ligue 1 after just one year with the club.
With Diego Costa having arrived at Stamford Bridge and the likes of Fernando Torres and Romelu Lukaku still on the books, however, it is hard to see how Chelsea could make room for Falcao until some departures are confirmed.
City, meanwhile, have yet to secure a real marquee signings this summer despite the arrivals of Bacary Sagna on a free transfer from Arsenal, as well as midfielder Fernando from FC Porto and goalkeeper Willy Caballero from Malaga.
The deal may put them further in breach of financial fair play regulations, however, raising the question of whether a high profile sale could be imminent, potentially that of midfielder Yaya Toure.
