Top-flight giants are keen to bring star to Eastlands for next season.
Mega-rich Premier League outfit Manchester City are still hopeful of beating Spanish giants Real Madrid to the capture of in-demand Malaga midfield player Isco this summer, says the Sun.
The highly-rated Spain international has been the subject of intense speculation of late linking the playmaker with a big-money move to either Madrid or Manchester for next season.
However, City feel that the arrival of new head coach Manuel Pellegrini shortly will tip the balance in their favour as the pair worked together closely during their time at Malaga, where the 21-year-old has spent the past two seasons.
And during that two-year period, Isco has featured in 81 matches in all competitions for the Liga outfit, hitting the back of the net on 17 occasions, including 14 strikes in his 68 league outings.
As a result, City are said to be keen to bring Isco to the north west this summer, with Malaga understood to be demanding £17 million for the attacking midfield player.
