Man City and Inter Milan could be set for player exchange deal.Manchester City could be in with a chance of landing Chelsea target Fredy Guarin in a proposed swap deal with Inter Milan, who are interested in Stevan Jovetic, according to talkSPORT.
The Premier League champions are seemingly ready to sell the Montenegro international, who has had a difficult first season in England due to injuries, finding himself now as Manuel Pellegrini’s fourth choice striker behind big names such as Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo.
Inter are keen on Jovetic, who previously made a name for himself as one of European football’s top talents while playing in Serie A with Fiorentina, for whom he scored 40 goals in 134 appearances.
The Italian giants have been linked with a number of new forward players this summer, including Chelsea striker Fernando Torres and Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Morata, but Jovetic could now be their main target.
With Guarin’s future at the club looking uncertain after he nearly left for Juventus in January, Inter are also seemingly keen to use the talented Colombian midfielder as a makeweight in any deal for Jovetic, which could bring down City’s asking price for the player.
In the process, City would themselves then be making a top addition to their squad, with Pellegrini’s side somewhat short in midfield following the departure of Gareth Barry, with the likes of Javi Garcia and Jack Rodwell possibly set to follow.
