Sterling does not plan on continuing to play in Liverpool even though his contract has not expired yet, and his career is only getting started at 20 years old.
The young, disgruntled forward is currently expected to be signed by Manchester City, according to ESPN FC.
Sterling is expected to reject offers from any team outside the Premier League as he intends to stay in England.
Despite Sterling’s clear intentions to leave Anfield, he will not be able to escape the clutches of Liverpool just yet as his contract still has two years remaining.
They plan to let him play out his contract, and they have made no announcement that they are willing to sell the young prodigy.
Although Man City is the favorite to sign Sterling, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted that he is interested in pursuing Sterling as well.
