Sergio Aguero will not be leaving the club despite interest from Real Madrid.
Manchester City have issued a hands off warning to any clubs interested in luring Sergio Aguero away from the Etihad this summer.
La Liga giants Real Madrid are thought to be lining-up a serious offer for the Argentine but City chief executive Ferran Soriano has said that he is fed up of speculation that Aguero is set to leave the club.
“I can be really clear on this one,” Soriano told the Daily Mirror.
“He’s not leaving. This has gone on and on and on.
“We’ve had discussions with Sergio and his agent about several things and he has never expressed the willingness to go.
“We have never had an offer and even if we had an offer we would say ‘no’.”
Aguero finished the season with 11 Premier League goals, but was unable to find the consistent form he showed in his debut season when racked up an impressive 23 league strikes, including a last minute winner against QPR to secure the title on the final day of the season.
City have been linked with moves for a host of players already ahead of what is expected to be a busy summer at the Etihad.
Chilean tactician Manuel Pellegrini is expected to be named as Roberto Mancini’s successor this week.
