Man City target Jurgen Klopp to leave Dortmund in summer
Klopp has had seven very successful years at BVB, winning the Bundesliga twice and getting to the Champions League final in 2013. However, this season has seen the team in danger of relegation at times, and the last few years have seen key players move to fierce rivals Bayern. Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski have made the move at the end of the past two seasons, and after an underwhelming campaign domestically, there will certainly be fears that the club will lose their best players once again this summer.
However, despite Klopp’s clear availability, the Mirror state that the Sky Blues are still interested in their number one choice Guardiola. A key contributing factor could be that Txiki Begiristain is the director of football at the Etihad, and worked with the Spaniard when he was in charge of Barcelona. It could be hard to lure Guardiola to the Premier League though, with the 44-year-old having already claimed that he wants to stay at the Allianz Arena for another season.
