Manuel Pellegrini keen to keep Frank Lampard at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City are now desperate to keep experienced former England midfielder Frank Lampard at the club beyond the end of the season, with the Daily Star reporting that City are now keen to do a deal to bring him to the club until 2016.

Any move to extend Lampard’s loan spell at the Etihad Stadium further is likely to infuriate fans and officials of MLS franchise club New York City FC, who are furious that his arrival at the new club has been delayed until the end of the Premier League season on account of his form with City.
The move is also likely to stick in the craw of Chelsea, who released Lampard this summer and will now be finding it galling to see him scoring the goals to keep City in the title race.
