Top-flight giants have been tracking player for over a year now.
Big-spending Manchester City are closing in on yet another new signing, with highly rated Malaga midfield player Isco now believed to be on the verge of moving to Eastlands, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The young Spain international has been the subject of intense speculation recently linking the player with a move this summer to either Spanish giants Real Madrid, or to the north west, after what has been yet another eye-catching campaign in both La Liga and the Uefa Champions League by Isco.
The 21-year-old, who has been with Malaga for the past two seasons now, managed to find the back of the net on 12 occasions in his 46 matches in all competitions for his club, including nine strikes in his 36 league outings.
And it is that kind of form in front of goal that has resulted in two of Europe’s biggest clubs going head to head for his services, although it appears as though it is City who are to win the race for Isco’s signature.
