City striker plays down exit rumours.
Manchester City’s 26-year old star striker Sergio Aguero is not concerned with rumours linking him with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid as he is very happy at the Etihad, according to talkSPORT.
Having joined the Citizens in 2011 and winning 2 Premier League titles since, Aguero sees no reason to change his association with the English champions, who are matching his ambitions both personally and professionally.
Speaking about rumours linking him with a move away from Man City, Aguero said, “There’s lots of talk about Real Madrid and Barcelona. It’s always the same every year, but the truth is that I’m going to stay at City. I’m very happy and I’m going to continue there.”
While these comments come as a blow to the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, who are both looking to add to their strike force before next season, the Citizens’ faithful will be relieved that one of their best players and regular goalscorers plans to be loyal to the Eastlands club.
Aguero has had a splendid time of it in England with City since his £38m move from Atletico Madrid, having netted an impressive 75 times in just 122 games with the cash rich English powerhouses.
