Argentine international will undergo a medical on Thursday.
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has arrived in Italy to complete his move to Juventus, and is expected to put pen to paper on Thursday.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 29-year-old arrived at Malpensa Airport in Milan on Wednesday afternoon, and will undergo a medical on Thursday where if all is well he will then go on to the club’s headquarters to sign a contract.
It is understood his deal is a three-year contract worth €5.5m a season after tax, and it comes after the two clubs agreed a fee of €12m for the striker, which includes various bonuses depending on appearances and performance.
The former Manchester United striker has already been welcomed the to the club by future team-mates, with Claudio Marchisio amongst the pack to state that it is great the club are continuing to bring “champions” to Turin.
The Bianconeri will be bidding for their third consecutive title next season, but it is clear that Tevez’s arrival is aimed at challenging in Europe as well as domestically, and much will depend on the Argentine’s ability to produce his all for his new club.
His signing also brings to an end Juve’s interest in Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain, who is expected to seal a move to the Emirates following the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as the new coach at the Bernabeu.
However, it is Tevez who is making the headlines in Italy, and he was greeted by over a hundred Juve fans at the airport according to the pink paper.
