Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic is interesting Serie A side Inter Milan after an underwhelming first season in the Premier League.
Inter Milan are ready to offer Montenegro international Stevan Jovetic a way out of Manchester City, reports The Mirror, after the forward endured a frustrating first season at the Premier League champions.
Jovetic arrived in Manchester from Serie A side Fiorentina last summer, where he had dazzled and frustrated in equal measure on account of his ability to both create and score goals – but also had a terrible injury record, something that has resurfaced during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
With Inter looking to rebuild following a frustrating season in the Italian top flight in which they again missed out on the Champions League and City perhaps looking to find more reliable back-up to Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko, a move for Jovetic may well suit all parties.
The 24 year-old started his career at Partizan Belgrade, where he quickly rose to prominence as one of Europe’s most promising footballers, but the succession of injuries that he suffered after moving to Florence seem to have curtailed what was a particularly talented player’s progress towards the big time.
