The Citizens are keen to add more firepower to their attack at Eastlands next season.
Big-spending Premier League giants Manchester City are keen on signing highly-rated AC Milan front man Stephan El Shaarawy when the transfer window reopens, although they will need to break the bank in order to land the player, says Football Italia.
The young Italy international had only been at San Siro for just the past two seasons now, having signed for the Rossoneri from fellow Serie A outfit Genoa in June 2011.
And in the intervening two-year period the 20-year-old has managed to net 23 goals in 68 appearances in all competitions for his club, including 18 strikes in 52 league contests, form in front of goal that has now led to City declaring their interest in the attacker.
However, with a contract in Milan that runs until June 30 2018, El Shaarawy is likely to cost City as much as £34 million to purchase when the summer transfer window finally swings open into action once again on July 1.
