Made plenty of chances but not for the first time this term the South American’s final delivery was off and lacked any potency.

Another fine display from the midfielder, who continues to improve as the Scot recovers from a long-term illness.
Tom Cleverley – 4
Over the Christmas period the Englishman looked to be in good touch, but this was back to the bad old days for Cleverley who could not pass forward.
Shinji Kagawa – 4
Was all over the place and looks far from the player who was impressing at Borussia Dortmund two seasons ago.
