The 25-year-old didn’t know how good the academy was at Carrington when he joined in the summer. However, now he has seen it he thinks that there are some potential stars in the system.
Januzaj broke in to the first team at Old Trafford in the last campaign, but hasn’t played as regularly this time round since the arrival of Angel Di Maria to play in his position.
Meanwhile Pereira has only played for the first team in their League Cup defeat to Milton Keynes Dons earlier this season, but has already been linked away to PSV Eindhoven by the Metro.
“I didn’t know how good the academy is here,” Herrera said. “Adnan Januzaj and Andreas Pereira are young players for Manchester United that are going to be very important players for many years.”
