Manchester United’s new boss Louis van Gaal has instructed chief executive Ed Woodward to sell Marouane Fellaini, who he doesn’t believe ‘is a Manchester United player’.
The powerful Belgian cost £27m last summer, but played awfully when he was fit enough to take the field last season, and is now deemed surplus to requirements by van Gaal.
It’s thought that the legendary manager, currently in charge of the Dutch at the World Cup, sees Fellaini’s lack of technical ability in the centre as a serious problem.
Now he’s signed Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao for £28m, Fellaini is no longer needed at Old Trafford, and is likely to offered to various clubs around Europe when he returns from World Cup duty with Belgium.
