Manchester United will not take up the option to sign striker Radamel Falcao, on loan from Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco, in the summer, CaughtOffside reports.

The Colombian was Louis van Gaal’s major summer signing, which ignited the Old Trafford faithful’s hopes that the Dutchman would lead the side back to the Champions League, following such high expenditure on new signings such as Falcao in the summer.
The forward, however, hasn’t impressed, with just four Premier League goals, and given his colossal £265,000 per-week wages – a price higher than skipper Wayne Rooney – Man United will reportedly let him return to France.
