The Welshman only joined Real last summer, but has been linked with a return to the Premier League in a big-money move as United and Chelsea have shown a strong interest.
However, rumours of the Blues snapping Bale up have cooled in recent weeks, and it is now thought that United could push ahead with a world record bid for the 25-year-old.
It now seems that Real will accept an offer to let Bale go if United match their sensational asking price of £150m, which would see the player break his own record as the most expensive transfer of all time.
