Manchester United legend SLAMS van Gaal & says Ferguson ‘very upset’ with performances.
Louis van Gaal set for stunning £113m Manchester United clearout, including Real Madrid target.
Although it was a much needed three points after the 1-0 home defeat to Southampton the previous week, the Red Devils supporters were clearly annoyed with Louis van Gaal’s tactics, reports CaughtOffside.
The United manager employed what can only be described as a 3-3-2-2 formation against the Hoops and up until midway through the second half they were second best because of it.
If the hosts had been more clinical in front of goal then maybe they could have won as the visitors’ defence was exposed over and over again and in the end van Gaal had to give into the calls from the away support.
Not that he reverted to 4-4-2, but Jonny Evans was taken off for James Wilson as a more familiar diamond midfield was used and the youngster subsequently scored his side’s second in injury-time.
Another substitute in Marouane Fellaini had given van Gaal’s men the lead, but with this just the latest system employed by the Dutchman since taking charge at Old Trafford many believe he does not know what his best team or formation is.
