United are reported to have indicated to de Gea that they will sell him in the summer if he does not decide to sign a new contract with the Premier League club, as Real line him up as the long term replacement for iconic number one Iker Casillas.
With Real reportedly willing to offer £27 million for the goalkeeper and United having confirmed the signing of de Gea’s compatriot Victor Valdes on a contract until 2016, a deal certainly seems like a possibility.
