Scot could even now feature for the Red Devils in the new campaign.
New Manchester United head coach David Moyes has received a huge boost with the news that midfield player Darren Fletcher is set to take part in pre-season training after a long layoff, says the Daily Mirror.
The Scotland international has been out of action for most of the previous two campaigns with a chronic bowel condition, featuring in just ten matches in all competitions in each of the past two seasons for the Red Devils.
However, after undergoing a second operation to cure the problem in April, the Premier League champions are now understood to be confident that the 29-year-old will make a full recovery to be able to take part in both the club’s pre season, and then also to even feature for Moyes at the start of the upcoming campaign.
And if that were the case, then it would represent a massive lift to the Scot, who is a known admirer of Fletcher’s midfield talents.
