Impish creator has endured a tough debut campaign in the Spanish capital.
New Manchester United manager David Moyes is pondering making an audacious move to bring unsettled Real Madrid midfield player Luka Modric back to the Premier League this summer, according to reports in the Sunday Express.
The talented Croatia international only left English top-flight outfit Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season to move to the Santiago Bernabeu in a deal worth £33 million.
However, the 27-year-old has found life hard going in the Spanish capital under Jose Mourinho, despite featuring in 31Liga contests and 51 matches overall to date in all competitions.
And with four goals and eight assists to his name so far in this campaign, Modric has at times still displayed the eye-catching attacking form that made the playmaker such a huge success during his four-year spell in north London.
However, with a contract with Los Blancos that runs until the end of June 2017, Modric will not come cheap for United when the transfer window reopens on 1 July.
