They just tied with third-place Arsenal but are looking to return to title contender status, and they have big plans lined up for the upcoming transfer window.
They are planning to spend aggressively, judging by their intent to pursue Roma midfielders Radja Nainggolan and Niralem Pjanic.
The Red Devils are prepared to throw down £50.7m to bid for these two players, and they are hoping to maintain their scoring ability as Robin van Persie will not be around much longer.
Nainggolan will be offered £29m from Man United while Pjanic will be offered £21.7m, and manager Louis van Gaal confirmed the club’s interest in these two players.
They would bring youth to the Red Devils as Nainggolan is 27 years old, and Pjanic is only 25.
