Londoners receive huge boost in their bid to stay in the Premier League…
Former Manchester United skipper Rio Ferdinand is all set to join QPR this summer after agreeing to reunite with his ex-coach Harry Redknapp, reports the Daily Mail.
The 35-year old central defender has recently run down his contract at Old Trafford, but wants to carry on playing until his body allows him to.
The former England international has been convinced by Redknapp of QPR’s vision to stay in the Premier League, and would be an integral part of the Londoners’ setup next season, having had the experience of playing in the Premier League for the last 18-years.
Redknapp gave the former Leeds starlet his debut at the top level in 1996 for West Ham, and is known to be a mentor of the defender. Ferdinand is currently doing media work for the World Cup in Brazil, but has taken a personal trainer along to keep himself fit in the off-season.
