Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has dropped a major hint that he could return to Manchester United one day, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The 29-year-old has been at the Bernabeu since 2009, but first made a name for himself at United in a superb six years at Old Trafford when he won three Premier League titles and the Champions League.
Ronaldo has continued to star since his £80m move to Madrid, establishing himself as one of the best attacking players of all time, and he has now hinted that his future may lie in Manchester once again after refusing to rule out a return to the club later in his career.
With Real set to meet United in a friendly today, Ronaldo was full of fond words for his old side, and hinted that he would be keen to play for them again one day.
When asked about the possibility, he said: “Of course, it was one of my favourite clubs, Manchester, everyone knows that every time when I speak about Real Madrid I should speak about Manchester United, I love it there.
“I was 18-years-old, I win everything there. The people treat me like a god there so I appreciate it and in the future nobody knows.”
