Belgium has also been tracked by Chelsea of late, but is likely to move to the Red Devils instead.
Incoming Manchester United manager David Moyes has identified in-demand Everton midfield player Marouane Fellaini to be his first summer signing at Old Trafford, reports the Sunday Mirror.
The lanky Belgium international and the Scot have worked together for the past five years after Moyes signed the 25-year-old from Belgium outfit Standard Liege for £15 million on a five-year deal in September 2008.
And Fellaini has subsequently proved himself to be one of the most effective attacking midfield players currently plying their trade in the Premier League, with an eye-catching 25 top-flight goals for the Toffees in just 138 outings.
Meanwhile overall, the player has recorded 32 strikes in 173 matches in all competitions for the Merseyside giants, form in front of goal that means Moyes will activate the player’s £23m release clause in his current deal with Everton that runs until the summer of 2016 and which allows Fellaini to talk to any club competing in the Uefa Champions League if that figure is met.
