It looks set to continue being a busy summer of transfers for Manchester United as a second bid is lined up for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to the Daily Star.
The Red Devils are preparing to offer the Serie A champions £32m for the Chile international, plus the choice of either Javier Hernandez or Danny Welbeck.
This would make the deal be worth closer to £50m as new manager Louis van Gaal looks to bolster what is increasingly looking like a weak midfield.
Welbeck has been told by van Gaal that he can leave Old Trafford in this window, but the Dutchman does not want the England international to join a top six Premier League side.
With the forward not wanting to drop any lower a switch to the Italian top tier might be the best outcome for all involved.
United have had their eye on Vidal for some time with the 27-year-old considered by many to be the best box-to-box midfield player in world football.
The South American would inject some much needed creativity into the middle and is likely to replace unwanted current figures Tom Cleverley or Marouane Fellaini.
