Manchester United have been given the green light to make a move for Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria, according to CaughtOffside.
Paris Saint-Germain have also shown a strong interest in the Argentine international, though they look unable to spend the required money to bring him in at the moment due to Financial Fair Play restrictions on the club.
The in-form 26-year-old, who starred for Carlo Ancelotti’s side in their Champions League and Copa del Rey-winning campaign of last season, looks set to be allowed to leave the Bernabeu following the club’s signing of Colombian World Cup star James Rodriguez from AS Monaco.
The arrival of the exciting youngster leaves little room for Di Maria in the attacking midfield positions, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale also to contend with for a starting place in the side.
United have been linked with Di Maria several times in the past and could now revive their interest in the talented wide-man as Louis van Gaal looks to improve on the squad that badly underperformed under David Moyes last season.
