The Spaniard is starting to settle into life at Old Trafford.
Goalkeeper David De Gea has revealed that the support given to the 22-year-old by Manchester United team mates has made the stopper stronger.
De Gea joined the Premier League champions from Atletico Madrid a little over two years ago for £17.8m – the second most expensive fee for a ‘keeper after Juventus paid £32.6m for Gianluigi Buffon in 2001.
United ace Phil Jones wants an apology from former England under-21 manager Pearce.
The Spain under-21 international had a shaky first season in England and shared the spot between the post with Anders Lindegaard.
However, De Gea then established himself as the undisputed No.1 last term and was named in the PFA Team of the Year.
“At first, everything is new. The football, the culture and how people live…it’s about learning how things work at the club and getting to know your team-mates,” the Spaniard was quoted by ITV.
“The whole package has been a lesson for me. The support I have had from everyone at the club has been fantastic.
“It’s a top dressing room and a great one to join.
“Everyone in the squad helps you a lot and the settling-in process is made a lot easier by the fact that there is such a warm atmosphere here.”
De Gea has now played exactly the same amount of matches for United that the ‘keeper did whilst with Atletico with 84.
The stopper has kept just the one clean-sheet in the league as the English champions have endured a steady, if unspectacular, defence of their title with four points from three matches.
