Chelsea beat Liverpool to signing of youngster dubbed ‘the new Paul Pogba’.
Pogba left the Red Devils on a free transfer in 2012 having become frustrated at a lack of game time under former manager Sir Alex Ferguson and has since become recognised as one the best players in the world in Turin.
The 21-year-old’s rise to stardom has been somewhat surprising as although it was clear the France international possessed talent, it wasn’t quite so obvious he would develop so quickly.
It’s always been touted that Pogba will return to the Premier League one day – with Chelsea and Manchester City strongly linked in the past – but it’s United that the Frenchman loves.
“I’m an impatient type, that’s why I left Manchester United. I felt that I had to. The coach had confidence in me but I was not playing,” the midfield ace was quoted by CaughtOffside.
“Ferguson told me ‘Your time will come’ but that moment never came. But this does not mean that I will not speak with Manchester United. I love the club.”
