Real Madrid star and prime Manchester United target Angel Di Maria feels neglected at the club after the arrival of Colombian wonderkid James Rodriguez from Monaco, and wants to move out of the Bernabeu this summer.
The 26-year old Argentine had been a rather reluctant figure with the Los Blancos last season as there were many doubts over his future at the club, and the Daily Star now reports that he definitely wants out.
United have reportedly been sounded out by the speedy winger, who sees himself being side-tracked at Real after the arrival of Rodriguez and Toni Kroos.
Real Madrid are reported to have set a £45 million price on Di Maria, which will not scare United. The Red Devils have plenty of cash in the bank and might not hesitate in paying big for a player that their new boss Louis Van Gaal admires. The Dutch boss could use Di Maria as a like for like alternative to Arjen Robben, who refused to turn his back on Bayern Munich to move to Old Trafford this season.
French giants PSG are also said to be in the hunt for Di Maria, but FFP restrictions mean that United are clear favourites to match Real’s hefty asking price.
