The Portuguese international has recently suggested that he may be unsettled at the Bernabeu following a number of big changes to the Real squad in recent transfer windows, with key players such as Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso all leaving in the last two summers.
Madrid president Fiorentino Perez has also spent heavily on a new generation of ‘Galacticos’ such as Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos, and may now be open to allowing Ronaldo to move on after a great six seasons with the club.
Ronaldo has previously made it clear that he would be willing to return to United later in his career, as he still holds an emotional attachment to the club where he first made his name as a world class player.
United have spent heavily on new signings this summer and look like continuing to do so under new manager Louis van Gaal, who has been heavily backed by the club in his desire to revamp the squad at Old Trafford.
With Javier Hernandez moving on loan to Real this season, it is likely that the Mexican international would be offered to the Spanish giants on a permanent deal as part of the transfer.
