United welcome Swans to Old Trafford in FA Cup Third Round.
David de Gea
Anders Lindegaard played in the Capital One Cup clash with Norwich in October but didn’t feature in last month’s quarter final. We expect De Gea to keep his place for Swansea’s visit.
Chris Smalling
With Rafael and Phil Jones injured, Smalling is the only senior option to start at right back. The England international was poor against Tottenham midweek and David Moyes will be looking for a better showing from Smalling against Michael Laudrup’s side.
Fabio
With Alexander Buttner being linked with moves away from Old Trafford, Moyes could hand a rare chance to Brazilian Fabio. First choice left back Patrice Evra was given a torrid time by Aaron Lennon on Wednesday and the veteran Frenchman needs a rest.
Rio Ferdinand
The former England captain appears to be nearing the end of his time at Old Trafford but he still has plenty to offer at the top level. Moyes is likely to give the 35-year-old his first start since 10 December against the Swans.
Jonny Evans
The Northern Irishman is likely to keep his place in the team, with the 32-year-old Nemanja Vidic more in need of a rest.
