DC) Jonny Evans
Evans bagged against Sunderland in the League Cup last time out, and should be given the nod again with the experienced defensive duo of Ferdinand and Vidic unavailable.
DL) Patrice Evra
Evra’s deputy Alex Buttner has proven this season that he’s not really United quality, so despite Evra’s average recent performances, he should start on the left of a back four.
MC) Tom Cleverley
First-choice central midfielder Michael Carrick is injured until the end of February, while Marouane Fellaini is unlikely to be used from the start. This means Cleverley should be given the nod again, ahead of 40-year-old stalwart Ryan Giggs.
