GK) David de Gea
de Gea looked shaky on crosses yet again last time out verses Stoke, but wasn’t at fault for the thunderbolt he conceded to Charlie Adam. Barring a late injury, he’ll start in goal for United, in a match they simply must win.
DR) Rafael
Both Chris Smalling and Phil Jones have been used at right-back, but neither have the attacking ability of the young Brazilian. At home to Fulham, Rafael should get the chance to get forward on regular occasions.
DC) Chris Smalling.
Rio Ferdinand is still injured, and both Phil Jones and Jonny Evans are doubtful – meaning we reckon Smalling will be given the nod to start alongside club captain Vidic.
DC) Nemanja Vidic
The Serbian stopper has admitted that he will leave the club at the end of the season, but he will no doubt still give his all in his remaining months at the club. United will have some job on their hands to replace one of the Premier League’s best ever defenders.
DL) Patrice Evra
Evra’s deputy Alex Buttner has proven this season that he’s not really United quality, so despite Evra’s average recent performances, he should start on the left of a back four.
