MC) Michael Carrick
At home to Fulham, expect Carrick to play plenty of passes in the centre of the Old Trafford park, and dictate the tempo for his side. His lack of pace shouldn’t be a problem in a match where United should dominate possession.
MC) Darren Fletcher
The Scottish midfielder gives balance and experience in midfield. His job will simply be to win back possession and give it quickly to United’s extremely talented attacking players. Cleverley was dire last time out against Caridff, so we’re pretty sure David Moyes will start him from the bench.
AMC/FC) Wayne Rooney
Rooney is probably United’s best player right now, but for the good of the team, he could be deployed in a deeper role once again. He will be given licence to roam around and link up play wherever he sees fit, however.
