The German international has been linked with a number of top clubs in the past after some strong performances in the Bundesliga, with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea also previously mentioned as suitors for the 23-year-old.
However, United and Real are currently thought to be in pole position to snap him up, with both clubs looking in need of new additions in the defensive midfield department.
Kramer was a member of Germany’s World Cup-winning squad this summer, and looks to have the quality to move on to a bigger club.
