The Red Devils had been linked with a £30m move for the Chile international, who was also a top target for the club during the summer, while it is also claimed that Real want to snap him up.
This has seen Juve raise their demands for the player as they anticipate a January bidding war for their star man, with United ditching their interest in AS Roma’s Kevin Strootman.
Vidal is now Louis van Gaal’s top midfield target, though it remains to be seen if the club will pay that much to bring him to Old Trafford.
