The Red Devils have been linked to players on both sides, but mostly from the Netherlands. Van Gaal led the Dutch national team to a third placed finish at the World Cup last summer. United have been linked to Stefan de Vrij, Bruno Martins Indi, Wesley Sneijder, Memphis Depay, Nigel De Jong, and Gregory van der Wiel from the 63-year-old’s former side, as well as Pedro and Isco from Spain.
Unluckily for the Old Trafford outfit de Jong and van der Wiel didn’t feature in the friendly match , but all of the others played some part. According to the Express the Mancunian side are interested in a centre-back, a right-back, a centre-mid, a winger, and a striker. Some of these players may end up being the reinforcements that the side need if they want to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
