The Dutch international was allegedly courted by both Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes, and it seems new manager Louis van Gaal is also interested in bringing him to Old Trafford.
Having worked with him previously with the Dutch national side, van Gaal knows exactly the kind of player he would be getting and thinks he could add something to the side.
The United manager was thought to be planning to see where he stood with the 30-year-old next summer, but he may have to act more quickly after it emerged that Sneijder is looking to trade in Galatasary for Juventus in January.
