Former Crystal Palace star Clyne has been one of the Saints’ stand out performers in the Premier League this season as they have made a beeline for the top four positions in the division – and Ronald Koeman’s men are looking to extend his contract, that is currently due to expire in 18 months.
Clyne is playing the waiting game, however, a situation that has led United to believe that they can tempt him away from St. Mary’s, with Louis van Gaal viewing the 23 year-old as a potential solution to his issues at right back.
