The Superlig side have spoken to van Persie’s representatives and whilst they were initially told a New Year deal was off the table, they are still hopeful of tempting the 31-year-old to Turkey.
The Netherlands international has been short of form this season and with Radamel Falcao and captain Wayne Rooney also at Old Trafford, competition is fierce.
Despite having a good working relationship with van Persie from their two years spent together with the Dutch national team, manager Louis van Gaal would be open to the idea of moving the forward on in order to sign a younger option to replace him.
The veteran attacker has been at the Theatre of Dreams for a little over two years after completing the shock £24m switch from Arsenal in the summer of 2012 and was greatly credited with helping to bring the Premier League title back to United during the 2012/13 campaign.
However, last term van Persie was plagued with injuries and this time around he has found form hard to come by.
