Manchester United transfer rumours
The Red Devils shot-stopper has been in excellent form in the Premier League this season, and this seems to have put him firmly on Real’s radar as they seek to replace their struggling number one.
Although Casillas has had a terrific career at the Bernabeu and for the Spanish national team, he has looked somewhat past his best for a while now, and it has now emerged that Real could offer him a £2.5m payoff to leave the club at the end of this season.
The departure of the veteran keeper could help last season’s Champions League winners in their pursuit of de Gea, who has previously starred in La Liga with Real’s local rivals Atletico Madrid.
