The Dutchman has not always been at his best for the Red Devils this season, but remains a top class goalscorer and experienced player who could add some spark to the attack.
However, he has picked up an ankle ligament issue after the recent defeat at Swansea City, and has now been ruled out for about a month, which should see him miss the FA Cup game against his old club Arsenal.
United’s other forwards have not exactly shone this season, with Radamel Falcao particularly disappointing since joining on loan from AS Monaco.
