The Red Devils host the East London outfit at Old Trafford and taking into account the injuries manager Louis van Gaal has to deal with here is a predicted lineup from fanatix.
GK – David de Gea
Has been one of the few positives for United in what has been a disappointing time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement and with a weak defence in front of him the Spaniard could be kept busy.
RB – Rafael
Is the only natural right-back at Old Trafford now and is certainly a better choice in the position than Antonio Valencia, but the Brazilian still needs to be producing more.
CB – Paddy McNair
For those of you that haven’t heard of this defender, he’s a 19-year-old youth player who is tipped to be selected with Tyler Blackett, Jonny Evans, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling all out.
CB – Marcos Rojo
As the only fit and available centre-back in the first team squad there will be a lot of pressure on this new £16m signing, who up until now has played as a left-back for his new club.
LB – Luke Shaw
Having recovered from injury this £27m summer signing is ready to make his debut despite the fact van Gaal clearly isn’t a big fan of the 19-year-old.
